There will be a change for Justin-Siena’s football program next season. After three seasons as the head coach, Tyler Streblow is out.

This comes after the Braves had their first winless season since 1970. They also had to forfeit a pair of games due to a lack of healthy players.

Streblow took over for Brandon LaRocco in 2022 and led Justin-Siena to the CIF North Coast Section playoffs in his first two seasons. In all, Streblow had a record of 16-28 in those four seasons.

“After thoughtful consideration about the future direction of the program, we have made the decision to part ways with Head Varsity Football Coach, Tyler Streblow ’04,” a letter to the school community wrote.

“We would like to express gratitude and appreciation to Coach Streblow for his dedication, leadership, and commitment to our student-athletes, the letter continued. As an alum, coach, and staff member, his work has made a meaningful impact on our student-athletes both on and off the field.”

While he has stepped down as the head coach, it isn’t known if he’ll still retain a role in the football program under the next head coach. He has been the offensive coordinator before and had many other roles in the program prior to becoming head coach.

Streblow is also a 2004 graduate of the school and works on campus. He will no longer teach or be associated with the school.

“We will be forever grateful to Coach Streblow for his contributions, countless hours, and
dedication to our football program,” says Athletic Director Andrew Bettencourt. “He is a good
coach and a better person, and while we felt the need to make this change now, in no way
should that tarnish the amazing accomplishments he has been a part of or the fact that he has
positively impacted the lives of his players for many years. We wish Tyler success in his
coaching career going forward.”

It is also not clear how many of the coaches on the coaching staff will stay or if any will be retained.

Justin-Siena will now be in search of a new head coach for next season. It is unclear what direction they will go.

“In the coming weeks, we will share more information regarding the hiring process for our next head coach, including opportunities for student and community engagement as we begin this next chapter for Justin-Siena Football.

“We are committed to the process of building a strong and sustainable football program that competes in our league and section,” the letter noted.

This is a developing story and will be updated as we get more information
